Title: Question about cable length/daisy chains

Hi there!

We're working on a little project with DMX, and before we buy any kind of equipment we're looking for a bit of documentation. The problem is, we have found a lot of information regarding the maximum wire length, but we haven't been lucky when trying to find anything about something closely related to it:
we need to know what is the maximum length from the DMX interface to the first of the fixtures, and then between them in the daisy chain. Is there any website where we can check that info?

Can anyone help us?

PS: Sorry if my English is a bit rusty, it's not my mother tongue. If you don't understand my question I can try to rephrase it :)

There is no specific limit on lengths between fixtures, or for the first leg; the only hard-ish rule is no more than 31 devices in a chain.  If you are pushing your luck this far make sure you terminate!
